In-depth On-Site Training

Why In-depth On-site Training?
Time is a precious commodity for any business, and the less time it takes for your employees learning how to effectively write, build and implement Visual Instructor™ into your processes, the more productive the organization can be. With any training, employers want their team to expand its knowledge and gain insights into best practices. They also ideally want them to spend the least amount of time getting up to full speed.

With in-depth on-site training we will teach you selective principles of Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing. These principles are integrated in Visual Instructor™.

Training Session:

  • Trainers: Dr. Steve Blackwell and/or Jon Ambrose
  • Training session: 3-4 hours
  • Class size: 4-15 people
  • Class breakdown: Training room instruction & hands on “out-on-the-factory floor” training
  • Participants will learn to use Visual Instructor™ + effectively create and implement Visual Work Instruction (VWI).

Training Includes:

  • Visual documentation training
  • Visual Instructor™ Software training
  • How to write short, but effective one sentence instructions;
  • How to Build in Quality (international quality standards);
  • How to modify, add text and images to your electronic image (picture) techniques using Microsoft products already on your computer.
  • Using the Advanced Module (a Lean Process Improvement Tool) that will actually assist in your constant process improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques, essential to a successful Kaizen event.

We also are available to assist in converting a factory over to visual work instructions.

Example: Our trainers trained and converted a large 300 employee plant to all visual work instructions in Tennessee in 16 weeks using newly trained employees (45 trainees) to create their own visual instructions under supervision (12 weeks for our assistance on an “every other week” schedule until the full factory conversion). The Management team was so satisfied with the results and their ISO Auditors were highly impressed; they awarded the us with a plaque of recognition.

Dr. Steve Blackwell and Jon Ambrose, ME are educators/speakers and will cultivate the passion in your people to create these visual work instructions.
